1986: Shanmugam starts the company in Chennai in a humble way with just two workers.

1987: The unique workmanship and quality are being recognized and the company grows to seven.

1989: Shanmugam's dream is fulfilled as he opens a brand new factory to craft furniture and art.

1994: Fashion Woodworks sets up the furniture R & D Department in the country.

1995: Shanmugam indulges his creative mind by dabbling in inventions like toys and artifacts.

2001: Fashion Woodworks is a name to reckon with in the realm of quality furniture.
